Tulip You-Pick Experience

  • Bayer's Blooms 10311 Brenna Dr Perkins United States (map)

Exact dates of you-picks will be updated as the tulips begin to bloom, usually mid-March.

Held in The Gathering Place at Bayer’s Blooms, our thoughtfully designed garden space features sweeping pockets of color, curved plantings, and clusters of tulips arranged more like a garden than straight rows.

  • Your ticket covers admission.

  • Tulips are priced at $3 per stem.

  • Baskets will be waiting for you at the entrance.

  • Tulips are harvested bulb and all. Simply loosen the soil and pull from the base for a long-lasting, beautiful stem to take home.

  • New this year: Limited $1 animal treat cups for kids (or adults!) to feed our sheep, geese, chickens, and Highland cow!

FAQ:

  • Our goal is to create a calm, beautiful experience for every visitor. Admission tickets help us:
    • Manage field capacity
    • Protect the tulip designs from overcrowding
    • Keep wait times low and movement comfortable
    • Provide an enjoyable visit for families, photographers, and flower lovers alike

We’re so excited to welcome you into the tulip field this spring! Because our tulips are planted in garden-style designs (not long rows), space is limited and we want to make sure everyone has room to wander, take photos, and enjoy the experience.

To help keep the field peaceful and prevent overcrowding, every person 12 years and over entering the tulip field needs a ticket.

  • Tickets are required for adults and children ages 12 and up. Children 11 and under may attend with a ticketed adult.

    Includes:
    • Admission to the tulip field
    • Access to harvest tulips at $3 per stem (harvested bulb-and-all)

  • Yes. Tickets are valid only for the selected date and time slot and help us manage capacity for the best experience.

  • Since we plant tulips as annuals each year, you’ll harvest each flower bulb and all with a gentle pull from the base. This keeps your stems fresher longer and makes space for the next season’s plantings.

We will snip the bulb off at checkout and add them to the compost pile or you can opt to keep bulbs attached.

  • Bulbs may or may not bloom in the following years depending on how they’re stored and what variety you have.

Most cut flower varieties are bred for long stems or double petals and do not reliably bloom year after year.

Tulip bulbs should be stored in a cool, dry place until they can be planted in the fall.

  • Our you-picks are outdoor events and take place rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, we may delay, reschedule, or cancel a session. If this happens, ticket holders will be notified by email with reschedule or refund options.

  • Advance tickets are recommended. Limited day-of tickets may be available at the gate for $7, depending on availability.

  • Tulips are $3 per stem. Baskets are provided at the entrance. We will wrap your tulips for you before you go!

  • We recommend comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. This is a working farm, and paths may be uneven or muddy after rain.
